Every year in the fall, the Singing Cadets host barbershop quartet auditions open to any member of the group. Generally, it was common practice for there to be only one barbershop quartet: The Aggienizors. However, with such a surplus of talent within the choir, the Singing Cadets decided that there needed to be another. Thus, in the fall of 2019, The Quad was born. It’s founding members were Lucas Revering ’22 (Tenor), Aaron Daniel ’19 (Lead), Cameron Ho ’23 (Bass), Ryan Oktay ’22 (Baritone). These members went on to make the International Varsity Barbershop Competition, the most prestigious event for quartets worldwide.

The Quad performs at Singing Cadet concerts around world, and auditions every year to qualify for the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Collegiate Barbershop Quartet Contest held in the summer.  More information about the contest can be found at https://www.barbershop.org/events/international-convention.
